Professor Emeritus, Purdue University, West Lafayette, IN
Greg Pierceall, a past recipient of APLD’s Award of Distinction (2003) is not only a professional educator, but he also has real world experience. I’ve known him for 15 years and used to visit his classroom at Purdue to talk to his class. He just left Purdue to start a Horticulture Degree Completion Program at the University of Illinois. He has good understanding of how people learn and I know I can learn a lot from him.
Greg has 6 books to his credit as well, including Residential Landscapes, a textbook on landscape design. Greg is a landscape architect who has 32 years of experience with environmental education and landscape design in Illinois, Indiana and North Carolina. He recently joined the University of Illinois following 28 years as a landscape architecture professor at Purdue University. Prior to that, he taught at North Carolina State University.
